Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) regulations are now on our radar from the 1st April 2018. Commercial and rented premises in and around Soho will need to be compliant, we at FoxSoho will be happy to discuss your requirements prior to the legislation coming into effect.

The main areas of focus are: Wall and roof insulation, Draught proofing, Heating systems and Window glazing. PATs testing is additionally available.

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for domestic property within our catchment area of Soho and the West End of London can also be arranged, if required. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is valid for 10 years. You can start to market your property for sale or rent as soon as you’ve ordered an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

The combination of environmental costs and the threat to the rental potential for properties makes it critical that Soho and London’s West End property investors, developers and their tenants understand the detail of this regulation.

We will be delighted to help review your property portfolio now, whatever the scale to identify properties with energy efficiency asset ratings lower than the required standard, which will render your property unmarketable beyond April 2018.

We can help you consider a strategy for carrying out energy efficiency property improvements to a variety of Soho properties; from a 1960’s group of apartments in Brewer Street, to much older properties such as those found in Meard Street, Lexington Street, Frith Street and beyond!

Please don’t hesitate to CONTACT US as we will be delighted advise and assist with any queries you may have.
